Asha Stamford is a non-profit organization. It is a completely volunteer driven organization, comprising of dedicated individuals from Fairfield County, striving to make a difference to the society. We believe that education is one of the primary factors in shaping a child’s future and by extension, future of the entire country.
Asha Stamford started in September 2002, and works towards promoting the education of underprivileged children in India. Asha Stamford works closely with project partners in India, including, Assam Center for Rural Development [ACRD’s Nartap High School and Bonpura Primary School] and Tribal Empowerment Project. We organized local fundraisers and community awareness events. Our Summer Cricket Tournament Event, a popular event in the Area, is Asha Stamford’s primary fundraiser, which directly helps support several education projects in India. Event started in this year, and has grown to a large event today with continual efforts of its volunteers and the support of patrons.
